The St. Peters cultural hub group organised a trip for year 9 and 10 students to go to bridport to go and see a theatre production of Invisible Bonfires.

This is what one person thought about it:

We went to see Invisible Bonfires at Bridport Arts Centre. Produced by Forkbeard Fantasy and performed by the Britton Brothers, it was an exciting, interesting and topical show.

What I enjoyed most was the animation of the Carbon Weevils (humans to you) and the props, such as cake!, a teapot!, and a bicycle that generates power (although the show was secretly powered by diesel from a van!). For the first minute, it was confusing. The great light effects left you looking around the room in awe. I secretly hoped that it wasn't like this: just light effects is boring. But before long, our actors came out on stage.

The Carbon Weevils animation made me learn: we only make up a very small volume, all 6.17billion of us, compared to the Earth. Then, a shock. It seemed the bicycle had run out of water and electrocuted the cast! But the show went on to explain horsepower and such.

I thought the LX and SX for the electrifying bicycle were good. And I wish I had some cake. One funny moment; the actors poking their hands out of a teapot.

Although I wasn't too satisfied with the music, I am probably alone there. All in all, a good performance. 8/10
