Professional Profile: Lisa Richardson Fine Artist

Lisa Richardson was born in 1968 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. She studied Sculpture, Fine Art at Cheltenham School of Art (BA) 1989 and the Slade School of Art, University College London (Postgraduate Higher Diploma) 1991.

Richardson has participated in BT New Contemporaries, 1992 at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, The Barclays Young Artist Award 1992 at the Serpentine Gallery, London and Acting Out - The Body in Video: Then and Now 1994 at the Royal College of Art, London.

She had her first solo exhibition in 2004 Personified Breath at the Study Gallery of Contemporary Art, Poole, Dorset. A two person show Paraphernalia with Debra Swann at APT gallery London in 2006.

She is currently working on a Solo exhibition Blood from a Turnip that will open at the Millais Gallery in Southampton next spring 2008.

Currently she lives and works in Bournemouth.

She is a Senior Lecturer on BA Fine Art at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
