The BTCV are running a youth led conservation project at Holton Heath, Poole. The project is called 'MySpace? OurSpace!'.
We are currently trying to recruit local young people for the open day. The young people should be disabled and non-disabled, aged 16 - 25 year olds and living in the local area.
Click below to 'Read More' The project will run alongside different types of accredited training. Such as ASDAN, Youth Achievement Awards, First Aid Certificate and NCFE level 1 qualifications. It will also provide participants an opportunity to gain a Dorset Award or Poole Award.The project will take place at Holton Heath. There are a large number of opportunities for young people to be part of . These include being a member of the projects youth lead steering group; taking part in conservation work; helping organize and attend reward activities; learning new skills through building and tools training; and being a media ambassador. There is money available for transporting young people to the site, reward activities and food. The project starts with an open day on Thursday 6th December, 11am - 3pm, at the Holton Heath Farmhouse (BH16 6JN).
