GROWBAGS
The GROWBAG platform events take place at four venues in Dorset, Bournemouth & Poole for artists/companies to show extracts of work/work in progress to a critical audience supported by Dorset Theatre Promoters Consortium venues. Growbags intend to provide a space where local creative professionals can present work and gain valuable responses from audiences. Each artist/company involved will receive feedback and developmental surgeries from Activate’s Theatre and Dance Development Co-ordinators.

There will be an application process and we aim to see the work before the Growbag events. The emphasis for these events is for people to have the opportunity to try out new work within a supportive environment of arts professionals and local audiences.

HOMEGROWN 27th June 2008
The Homegrown event will be a showcase of work which is programmed by Activate in partnership with Dorset Theatre Promoters Consortium for local, regional, national and international promoters, producers and funders and audiences. This showcase will be programmed and is not open to submissions, we will have seen all the work included prior to the showcase and will be clear on the developmental potential for the companies/artists.
