HUBALICIOUS LAUNCH EVENT

What LISTED magazine had to say:

'Hubalicious, an exciting new initative to involve young people in the arts, will be launched at Mr Kyps on 23rd October. The project is the work of seven talented teenagers tasked with the challenge of making arts and culture accessible to peers. The website www.hubalicious.org showcases performing arts, music, writing, media and visual arts, and is funded by the Cultural Hub iniative, a consortium of cultural organisations and schools.

Listed popped down to Hubalicious HQ, The Study Gallery, to meet the creative group as they prepared ofr the official launch. 'Hubalicious is like a mini version of MySpace,' explained web editor Ross. 'We want to build a community where people can upload music, talk to their friends and find out everything they need to know about the arts.'

Listed has no doubt that the result; a bright, lively and userfriendly website will appeal not just to teenagers but anyone involved in the arts.

Tickets are now on sale for the Hubalicious launch party at Mr Kyps, featuring local bands Dodgy B-sides, Re-instated and El Paso de Cebra.

The event runs from 7:30pm till 11pm on 23 October. Tickets cost £2 in advance and £3 on the door and are available from Mr Kyps, 8a Parr Street, Poole, t:01202 748945, Hubalicious: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or from the team themselves at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole on 22 October.'
